梁丹美（b.1933），廣東順德人。為畫家梁鼎銘之長女，承家學，善畫水墨花鳥、人物，亦長於水彩畫。1948年遷臺。師從汪修元習水墨。1965年與雕塑家、畫家姜宗望結為連理。1980年獲中國畫學會金爵獎。曾任教中國美術研究中心20餘年，並任中國畫學會理事、中國美術協會理事、中國文藝協會美術研究委員等職。曾參加全國大小聯展及多次個展。1979年受邀參加本館舉辦「我愛梅花美展」。
Liang Dan-mei (b. 1933), a native of Shunde, Guangdong, is the eldest daughter of the renowned painter Liang Ting-ming. lnheriting her family’s artistic legacy, she excels in ink paintings of flowers, birds, and figures, as well as watercolors. She moved to Taiwan in 1948, where she studied ink painting under Wang Xiu-yuan. In 1965, she married the sculptor and painter Jiang Tzung-wang. She was awarded the Golden Goblet Award by the Chinese Painting Society in 1980. Liang taught at the Chinese Fine Arts Research Center for over twenty years. She has held leadership and advisory roles in several key artistic organizations, including serving as a board member of the Chinese Painting Society and the Chinese Art Association, and as a fine arts research committee member of the Chinese Writers’ and Artists’ Association. Having presented her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Taiwan, she was invited in 1979 to participate in the “I Love Plum Blossoms” exhibition organized by the NMH.
《紅梅》，為梁丹美1979年水墨設色紙本作品。以瀟灑奔放筆墨，繪寫老梅枝幹由左斜下而折右虬曲生長，貫穿全幅；以濃淡墨色表現梅幹的蒼勁古樸，並以淡墨雙鉤花瓣；以洋紅點染顏色，勁挺細枝綻於石間，更顯梅花「傲骨不畏霜雪寒」的韻格。款：己未春日歷史博物館舉辦愛梅展，余應邀於四月五日下午即席成此幅，並作解說。是日座無虛席，觀者如堵，群情激昂，極一時之盛。余謂非畫所能致也，是為愛國心所驅使也。目游丹青，心懷勵志，手握毫管，意在堅貞。國家多難，有氣節之士乃如風雲之相同，豈徒文人雅會而已哉。丹美並識。印：梁丹美。
Red Plum Blossoms is an ink and color on paper painting by Liang Dan-mei in 1979. Executed with free and dynamic brushwork, the composition features an ancient plum trunk that dips diagonally from the left before twisting upward to the right, spanning the entire canvas. Varying ink tones capture the weathered, rugged strength of the trunk, while the petals are rendered with delicate double-outlined ink contours and soft touches of magenta. Slender yet resilient branches sprout among the rocks, further embodying the plum blossom’s legendary spirit—unyielding in the face of frost and snow.
