邵幼軒・池塘春色｜隱身到現身・國立歷史博物館

邵幼軒（1918–2009），字友仙，浙江東陽人。北平著名畫家邵逸軒之女，畢業於北平藝專。早年受家學啟迪，親炙王夢白、齊白石、王雪濤畫壇諸大家，又拜張大千為師。初學山水，後專攻花鳥蟲魚，作品清逸脫俗，簡約而有韻致；尤擅牡丹，有邵牡丹之譽。筆墨掌握心手相應，獨具一格。曾任教於政工幹部學校（今國防大學政治作戰學院）及國立藝術專科學校（今國立臺灣藝術大學），屢受邀請至歐美各國舉辦畫展。1984年參加本館於多明尼加舉辦「中華當代繪畫展」，2000年本館舉辦「花鳥畫境一邵幼軒回顧展」。

Shau You-shiuan (1918-2009), courtesy name You-xian, was a native of Dongyang, Zhejiang Province. Daughter of the renowned Beiping painter Shao Yixuan, she graduated from the National Beiping Academy of Art. Her early training began within her family, enriched by direct guidance from leading masters such as Wang Meng-bai, Qi Baishi, and Wang Xue-tao, before she formally joined the studio of Chang Dai-chien. Although she initially studied landscape painting, Shau ultimately specialized in flowers, birds, insects, and fish. Her work is celebrated for its refined grace, simplicity, and quiet rhythm. Especially admired for her peonies, she earned the sobriquet “Shau of the Peonies.” Her fluid mastery of brush and ink allowed for a seamless synthesis of intuition and execution, giving her work a distinctive style. Shau taught at the Political Warfare Cadres School (now Fu Hsing Kang College, National Defense University) and the National Academy of Arts (now National Taiwan University of Arts), and was frequently invited to exhibit in Europe and the Americas. In 1984, she participated in the “Exhibition of Contemporary Ink Painting” held in the Dominican Republic. In 2000, NMH honored her career with the retrospective “The Realm of Bird-and-Flower Painting: A Retrospective of Shau You-shiuan.”
